Blending traditional Kashmiri artistry with a softer, more contemporary colour palette.
The shawl features a soothing pastel aqua-green base, crafted from fine, lightweight pashmina that drapes effortlessly. Along the borders runs an elaborate band of papier-mâché–inspired embroidery, densely filled with intricate paisley (amb) motifs and delicate floral vines. These motifs are rendered in rich tones of deep rust, maroon, and muted brown, creating a striking contrast against the cool base fabric.
The embroidery is finely detailed, echoing the hand-painted look typical of papier-mâché art, with closely packed needlework that gives it a textured, almost embossed appearance. Small ornamental elements line the edges, adding rhythm and precision to the design.
